MBDA and Safran Electronics & Defense have successfully demonstrated the THUNDART rocket system, achieving rapid development from concept to testing within 18 months. Trials conducted at Île du Levant validated the system’s structural integrity and exceeded initial performance expectations. The rocket integrates propulsion from Roxel and Safran’s AASM guidance kit, enabling modular and adaptable air-to-ground strike capabilities. This achievement highlights advancements in agile weapon development and European collaboration in next-generation precision strike systems.
