Lockheed Martin has completed a major flight test for its seeker technology under the US Army’s Next-Generation Short-Range Interceptor (NGSRI) competition. During the test, the company’s QuadStar missile demonstrated onboard signal processing, target tracking, and AI-enabled guidance against aerial threats including drones and aircraft. The rapid program timeline saw the missile progress from concept to first flight within 26 months as Lockheed competes with RTX to replace the aging Stinger missile system.
