Norway has expanded its support for Ukraine by allocating approximately $304 million under NATO’s PURL mechanism, with part of the funding directed toward Patriot interceptor missiles. The initiative streamlines multinational procurement of US-made defense equipment for Kyiv and is intended to overcome supply bottlenecks affecting critical battlefield systems. At the same time, Ukraine is pursuing domestic air defense solutions due to concerns about long-term supply reliability, with companies such as BlueBird Tech and Fire Point developing indigenous interception concepts for drones, cruise missiles, and ballistic threats.
