Indonesia is seeking to broaden its planned BrahMos missile acquisition as part of a long-term effort to enhance coastal defense and maritime security capabilities. The proposed phased purchase could include multiple missile batteries equipped with launchers, surveillance radars, command-and-control systems, and long-range anti-ship missiles. Alongside the procurement, India has proposed expanding bilateral defense collaboration through industrial partnerships, technology sharing, and joint development initiatives. If finalized, the agreement would strengthen strategic ties between the two nations while further establishing the BrahMos as a leading defense export across Southeast Asia.
