The US Army has expanded procurement of Raytheon’s LTAMDS radar with a new $904.6 million order covering production systems and support equipment. Developed as the next-generation Patriot sensor, LTAMDS offers full-circle surveillance and simultaneous engagement tracking against fast airborne threats. Raytheon has also expanded manufacturing capacity in Massachusetts to meet rising domestic and export demand. The radar is becoming a major pillar of future US and allied missile defense networks.
