Romania has awarded Raytheon a $168-million contract for additional Patriot air and missile defense components, strengthening its multi-layered defense network. The deal includes radars, launchers, command systems, and support services. It marks Bucharest’s second Patriot order in 2025 as part of a broader plan covering seven systems, with deliveries extending to 2030. Patriot provides defense against aircraft, cruise missiles, and ballistic threats and is operated by 19 nations worldwide.
