Kongsberg has finalized a $400 million agreement with Raytheon to supply the National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile System (NASAMS) to Kuwait under the US Foreign Military Sales program. The acquisition will reinforce Kuwait’s layered air defense network by providing a proven capability against aircraft, cruise missiles, and unmanned aerial threats. Combining Kongsberg’s launchers and command systems with Raytheon’s interceptor missiles and radar technology, the procurement supports Kuwait’s ongoing military modernization while making it the 18th nation to adopt the NASAMS platform.
