Germany’s Diehl Defence and Greece’s Hellenic Defence Systems have strengthened their long-term partnership on the IRIS-T missile program amid increasing European demand for air defense systems. The cooperation supports production of key missile assemblies and aligns with broader European rearmament efforts accelerated by the war in Ukraine. Diehl has significantly expanded IRIS-T production capacity in recent years and is also pursuing additional partnerships with firms such as Spain’s Indra and Lockheed Martin to broaden integration of the missile family into future air and missile defense architectures.
