Bell Textron has partnered with Korea Aerospace Industries to explore solutions for South Korea’s High Speed Medium Utility Helicopter program. The collaboration focuses on evaluating configurations based on Bell’s MV-75 tiltrotor platform, which combines vertical takeoff with higher cruise speeds and extended range compared to conventional helicopters. The initiative emphasizes a modular open systems architecture, enabling rapid integration and replacement of mission systems, sensors, and weapons. It also considers industrial cooperation, including local production and technology transfer. This partnership aligns with KAI’s broader expansion strategy, including the KF-21 Boramae fighter program and collaborations in unmanned systems and aerospace technologies.
