Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has secured a new contract from Germany for additional Joint Strike Missiles intended for the country’s upcoming F-35 fighter fleet. The precision-guided missile is optimized for stealth aircraft and can attack both maritime and land-based targets while remaining concealed inside the F-35’s internal weapons compartment. Featuring advanced navigation, terrain-following capabilities, and two-way data links, the missile is designed to operate even in GPS-denied environments. Germany’s purchase builds upon its expanding military cooperation with Norway in missile systems and naval defense technologies. The acquisition reflects Berlin’s growing investment in advanced precision weapons and next-generation combat capabilities as NATO members continue modernizing their armed forces.
