Leonardo UK has secured a £27-million contract from the UK Ministry of Defence to provide essential consumable spares for military aircraft fleets. The three-year agreement, with options extending its value to £70 million, covers a wide range of components used across platforms including Typhoon fighters, Apache and Chinook helicopters, and A400M and C-17 transport aircraft. Under a hybrid inventory model, Leonardo will manage frequently used parts while supplying lower-demand items when required. The contract is expected to support around 75 jobs and improve supply-chain efficiency, helping maintain aircraft readiness and operational availability.
