Embraer has partnered with Greece’s Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI) to explore establishing local maintenance, repair, and overhaul support for the C-390 Millennium transport aircraft. The initiative could allow Greece to independently manage portions of fleet sustainment, improving operational availability while reducing reliance on foreign maintenance infrastructure. The agreement also strengthens Embraer’s expanding European support network as the company seeks to position the C-390 more competitively in the regional defense market. Greece is reportedly considering the aircraft as part of its broader military modernization strategy, which includes upgrading tactical airlift capabilities alongside its existing C-130 Hercules and C-27J Spartan fleets.
