Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has secured a major German order for additional Joint Strike Missiles intended for integration with the Luftwaffe’s upcoming F-35 fleet. The stealthy precision-guided missile is optimized for anti-ship and land-attack missions and uses GPS, inertial navigation, and terrain-referenced guidance for operations in contested environments. Germany’s procurement is being conducted through a bilateral framework with Norway that already supports collaboration on Naval Strike Missiles and next-generation strike weapons. The JSM acquisition strengthens Germany’s long-range strike capability while enhancing interoperability with NATO F-35 operators.
