Washington has cleared a major sustainment package for Canada’s C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft fleet to ensure long-term operational availability and mission readiness. Valued at approximately $540 million, the proposed agreement includes maintenance support equipment, spare components, repair and return services, ground handling systems, and logistical support for the Royal Canadian Air Force’s strategic airlifters. Boeing will oversee the program, which supports Canada’s ability to conduct rapid troop deployments, cargo transport, humanitarian missions, and aeromedical evacuation operations using its five C-17 aircraft.
