The UH-60 Black Hawk has been used to test Raytheon’s RAIVEN Staring surveillance system in a recent flight trial. Operating in total darkness, the sensor suite captured mapping data over cities, wetlands, and shorelines. RAIVEN uses three air-cooled sensors to support wide-area observation and terrain awareness in low-visibility environments. The successful trial shows how existing helicopters can gain modern intelligence and reconnaissance capability through modular sensor upgrades.
