Boeing Defence UK has secured a major 879-million-pound support contract covering Britain’s AH-64E Apache attack helicopters and Chinook transport aircraft. The agreement includes maintenance services, engineering support, logistics, and training for aircrews and technicians over the next three years. The UK government said combining sustainment of both helicopter fleets into one framework will boost operational availability and streamline management. The contract will preserve hundreds of aerospace jobs across multiple UK sites and support additional employment through suppliers. The award also complements ongoing British investments in future helicopter fleets, autonomous rotorcraft development, and expanded battlefield aviation capabilities.
