The US Navy has publicly introduced the AIM-424 Malice, a long-range air-to-air missile intended to strengthen carrier-based airpower against advanced threats. Developed by Raytheon, the missile is being designed for integration with current and future Navy fighters, including the Super Hornet, F-35C, and F/A-XX. Malice reportedly measures around 4 meters and weighs 680 kilograms, with a solid-fuel propulsion system and blast-fragmentation warhead. Its range is expected to exceed 250 nautical miles, potentially giving it a significant reach advantage over existing air-to-air weapons.
