Lockheed Martin has secured a major contract increase from the US Army to accelerate manufacturing and sustainment of the Precision Strike Missile. Valued at $8.4 billion, the modification supports expanded procurement, operational deployment, and future development of the PrSM family through September 2032. Capable of striking targets between 400 and 500 kilometers away, the missile is replacing older ATACMS systems and forms a key component of the Army’s long-range fires strategy. The contract also supports production scaling efforts, with annual output expected to reach hundreds of missiles as demand continues to grow.
