India’s emerging long-range maritime strike system is progressing toward operational testing with the Indian Navy after completing multiple developmental trials. The missile is expected to combine extended-range targeting with high-speed terminal attack capability and advanced guidance systems, including multi-mode seekers and network-enabled mid-course updates. Military planners are also evaluating its integration into a future Integrated Rocket Force structure, which could centralize long-range precision strike assets under a unified command. Early deployment through coastal batteries is seen as a cost-effective method of strengthening sea-denial capabilities while broader platform integration continues through the end of the decade.
