Kuwait is set to enhance the long-term readiness of its KC-130J fleet following US approval of a sustainment package valued at nearly $236 million. The proposed agreement covers a broad range of support services, including spare parts, repair activities, software maintenance, logistics assistance, technical publications, and operational training. The KC-130J aircraft serve critical transport and national security missions within the Kuwaiti Air Force. The approval comes amid broader defense modernization efforts by Kuwait, which has recently invested in counter-drone systems, air defense capabilities, and naval combat programs in response to growing regional security challenges.
