Kongsberg has secured a major US Air Force contract to produce additional Joint Strike Missiles, further expanding the operational capabilities of the F-35 fighter fleet. Valued at nearly $241 million, the award includes complete missile rounds, support equipment, and testing hardware. The JSM is a stealth-compatible cruise missile capable of delivering precision attacks against heavily defended targets at long distances. Developed from the Naval Strike Missile family, it provides F-35 operators with a highly survivable strike capability. Alongside the United States, countries such as Japan, Norway, Germany, and Belgium have integrated or are acquiring the weapon to strengthen their long-range precision engagement options.
