As part of the ambitious Golden Dome missile defense program, Northrop Grumman has partnered with Apex to develop and demonstrate space-based interceptor capabilities designed to counter emerging missile threats. The collaboration supports the US Space Force’s vision of creating a layered orbital defense network capable of engaging hostile missiles before they reach their targets. While space-based tracking systems are already under development, operational interceptor systems remain in the testing phase. By leveraging Northrop’s missile defense expertise and Apex’s scalable satellite technologies, the companies aim to accelerate the deployment of future space-based missile defense constellations and strengthen US homeland security.
