has been selected to provide its Hivemind autonomy software for integration into the Pentagon’s Low-Cost Uncrewed Combat System loitering munition. The AI-enabled software will equip the drone with autonomous navigation, swarm coordination, and mission management capabilities designed for operations in communications-denied or heavily contested environments. LUCAS was developed as an affordable one-way attack platform comparable to Iran’s Shahed drones and is intended for large-scale deployment to overwhelm enemy defenses. By incorporating Hivemind, the platform gains advanced autonomous flight and cooperative engagement functions while reducing manpower requirements through single-operator control of multiple unmanned systems.
