The US Navy has selected V2X to upgrade survivability systems on Marine Corps KC-130J aircraft through integration of the Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures suite. The advanced defensive system enhances protection against heat-seeking missile threats by automatically identifying launches and deploying countermeasures. The contract adds to V2X’s expanding defense portfolio, which includes modernization, integration, and counter-drone initiatives. Work will take place at the company’s large aviation support facility in Crestview, Florida, supporting the KC-130J’s multi-role operational missions.
