France has advanced its domestic rocket artillery modernization efforts following the successful maiden test of the FLP-T 150 tactical ballistic missile developed by Thales and ArianeGroup. The new munition, designed to replace the French Army’s remaining LRU systems, combines supersonic flight performance with maneuverable terminal attack capability. Future demonstrations involving the X-Fire launcher are expected later this year as Paris continues investing heavily in sovereign long-range strike and artillery modernization programs.
