Belgium has placed its first military order for the Cessna SkyCourier, procuring five aircraft from Textron Aviation. Deliveries are scheduled throughout 2027, with Sabena Engineering responsible for integrating mission-specific systems and certifying the aircraft before transferring them to the Belgian Special Operations Forces. This milestone marks the SkyCourier’s entry into military service, demonstrating growing confidence in its capabilities for demanding operational roles. Designed for versatility, the aircraft can operate from short and unprepared runways, making it ideal for logistics, medical evacuation, and emergency missions. Equipped with Garmin G1000 NXi avionics and powered by Pratt & Whitney turboprops, it offers efficient performance with speeds exceeding 200 knots and a range of 900 nautical miles. With flexible cargo and passenger configurations, the SkyCourier ensures adaptability across a wide range of missions.
