German defense firm Diehl Defence has signed a memorandum of understanding with Latvia-based Ripo Remonta Centrs to jointly establish a regional support hub for advanced air defense systems. The collaboration will provide comprehensive maintenance and technical services for platforms including the IRIS-T SLM system, recently acquired by Baltic nations. By localizing support capabilities within Latvia, the initiative is expected to enhance operational readiness and reduce turnaround times for system servicing.
