Safran and Bharat Electronics Limited will jointly produce the HAMMER air-to-ground weapon system in India under a new bilateral defense agreement. The venture will support local manufacturing and lifecycle maintenance of the modular precision munition, which is integrated on India’s Rafale fighters. With a range of roughly 70 kilometers and multi-mode guidance, the system enhances India’s indigenous defense production goals while strengthening strategic ties with France.
