Northrop Grumman has validated another rocket motor for the Precision Strike Missile, reinforcing its role in the US Army’s next-generation long-range strike capability. The test confirmed propulsion performance for PrSM Increment 1, which is designed to provide extended range and increased payload efficiency compared to legacy systems. Integrated with existing HIMARS and MLRS launchers, PrSM is moving rapidly from development into operational service. The successful test follows multiple qualification launches and the Army’s approval for full-rate production, positioning PrSM as a central element of future US Army fires doctrine.
