Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, has signed a series of three-year agreements to reinforce sustainment and supply support for C-130 Hercules wheels and brakes, a key subsystem for one of the world’s most widely used military transport aircraft. Partnering with Integrated Procurement Technologies, S3 AeroDefense, and Derco, the agreements focus on improving hardware availability, logistics efficiency, and long-term lifecycle support. Collins’ DURACARB-equipped wheels and brakes are fielded across tens of thousands of aircraft, and reliable access to these components is vital for maintaining high operational tempo across global C-130 fleets. The initiative complements ongoing US and allied efforts to modernize and sustain the Hercules platform, which remains central to tactical airlift, humanitarian relief, and disaster response missions. Related efforts include Derco’s performance-based logistics contract with the Defense Logistics Agency and US support for partner nations operating C-130s, such as the Philippines, which received a C-130H through US transfer programs.
