Denmark has been cleared for a $3.73-billion FMS package combining the IBCS-IFPC integrated defense system with a major buy of AIM-120C-8 AMRAAMs. The deal includes launchers, radars, operations centers, and networking infrastructure from major US contractors including RTX, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman. IFPC fills the gap between short-range air defense and Patriot-class long-range systems, while IBCS acts as the command-and-control “brain” that fuses sensor data across the battlespace. Once fielded, Denmark will enhance its multilayered defense posture and strengthen NATO air-defense interoperability.
