The Royal Moroccan Air Force has contracted Airbus to deliver 10 H225M helicopters for enhanced search and rescue and special-mission roles. These aircraft will include advanced EO sensors, dual hoists, mission lighting, onboard weapons, and electronic-warfare protection. The H225M replaces Morocco’s Puma helicopters and expands its long-range operational capability through powerful Makila 2A1 engines and up to 1,253 km range with auxiliary tanks. The platform supports troop transport, medevac, and maritime missions, operating from land or ships under day, night, and adverse weather conditions. It carries 31 personnel and offers endurance of 4.5 hours with an 11-ton takeoff limit.
