Poland will co-develop and produce Anduril’s autonomous air systems, including a locally built variant of the Barracuda-500M cruise missile.
A memorandum of understanding signed between state-owned Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa S.A. (PGZ) and Anduril outlines joint development and manufacturing for the Polish Armed Forces, with work shared across PGZ’s supplier network.
The Barracuda-500M is an autonomous cruise missile that can be launched from fighter aircraft such as Poland’s F-16s or from C-130 transport planes. It carries a roughly 100 lb (45 kg) warhead and can reach about 500 nautical miles (≈926 km), striking both fixed and moving land or sea targets.
Unveiled in September 2024 as part of Anduril’s Barracuda-M family, the missile is marketed as highly producible. Its modular, software-defined design uses common commercial components and minimal specialized tooling — enabling rapid production, easy upgrades, and fast integration with modern systems.
