France’s MBDA and Safran have revealed THUNDART, a 150 km (93 mi) guided rocket aimed at replacing the country’s aging LRU launchers.
Unlike conceptual designs, THUNDART is ready for testing, reflecting a practical step in enhancing France’s long-range artillery capabilities.
The weapon merges MBDA’s production experience with Safran’s guidance systems expertise, building on technology proven in the AASM air-launched weapons program.
