The British government has agreed to supply India with Lightweight Multirole Missiles and launchers in a $465-million contract. Designed for flexible deployment across air, land, and sea platforms, the missile system has a 6 km range and can exceed Mach 1.5. The LMM employs laser guidance for precision engagement of threats including UAVs, helicopters, and small surface targets, strengthening bilateral defense ties and complementing ongoing naval collaboration.
