Washington has authorized the supply of 3,350 ERAM long-range guided missiles to Ukraine in a package valued at $850 million, with European partners providing most of the financing. Initial deliveries are expected in weeks. ERAM, a next-gen standoff weapon, allows strike missions up to 450 km, improving survivability by keeping aircraft outside contested air defense zones. Its advanced guidance ensures precision against mobile and fortified targets under electronic warfare. The timing, shortly after US President Trump’s talks with Russia and Ukraine, highlights the strategic and political importance of strengthening Kyiv’s deep-strike capabilities.
