The US is building mock versions of China’s HQ-22 air defense missile system for training. The replicas look and act like the real thing but can’t fire. They let US pilots and crews practice spotting and defeating enemy systems safely. The HQ-22 is a long-range SAM, also used by Serbia, and is sometimes compared to the Patriot.
