Kongsberg won a contract valued at $118 million to supply remote turrets for the US Marine Corps’ Amphibious Combat Vehicle 30 fleet, with the option to increase to $271.5 million. 101 Protector RT20 turrets will be produced, with work shared between Norway and the US, finishing by September 2027. This procurement supports the modernization of the Marine amphibious vehicle fleet. The RT20 offers precise firepower with a 30mm cannon, 7.62mm gun, hunter-killer operation, and 3,000-meter range.
