The US Navy has awarded V2X a contract to enhance the survivability of Marine Corps KC-130J aircraft through the integration of advanced infrared countermeasure systems. The Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures technology is designed to identify and defeat heat-seeking missile threats by automatically deploying protective responses during flight. The KC-130J platform serves multiple operational roles, including aerial refueling, transport, medical evacuation, and expeditionary support missions. Integration work will be carried out at V2X’s specialized aviation facility in Florida, which features extensive manufacturing and testing infrastructure. The award adds to the company’s expanding portfolio of military modernization and counter-drone defense programs supporting US defense requirements.
