Thales and a subsidiary of AURA AERO have partnered to develop a new intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance drone under France’s Medium Altitude Long Endurance initiative. The solution features the Enbata unmanned aircraft, which incorporates fly-by-wire controls and an open-system architecture to accommodate various mission payloads. Equipped with Thales’ AirMaster C radar, the platform combines active electronically scanned array technology with onboard artificial intelligence to enhance surveillance performance. The collaboration supports France’s goal of strengthening sovereign defense capabilities through domestically developed ISR technologies.
