Estonian defense technology company Milrem Robotics and South Korea’s Hanwha Systems have entered into a strategic collaboration aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) through the integration of advanced mission payloads. The partnership will evaluate the incorporation of sophisticated sensors, electronic warfare equipment, intelligence systems, and weapon technologies into Milrem’s battle-proven robotic platforms. By combining Hanwha’s advanced payload solutions with Milrem’s autonomous ground vehicles, the companies seek to create highly adaptable unmanned systems capable of supporting force protection, border security, critical infrastructure defense, reconnaissance, surveillance, and combat support operations. The collaboration reflects the growing global trend toward modular robotic platforms that can be rapidly configured for diverse military missions while reducing risks to personnel operating in contested environments.
