The British Army has selected ARX Robotics’ GEREON uncrewed ground vehicle to help test robotic capabilities in land operations. The vehicle is designed for multiple military roles including resupply, reconnaissance, casualty evacuation, and autonomous support missions. With a payload capacity of 500 kilograms and endurance of up to 72 hours, the platform can support units in demanding field environments. It also includes night-vision and thermal sensors plus modular attachments for different missions. The order aligns with the UK’s wider defense modernization strategy emphasizing autonomy and robotics. Army evaluations will focus on integrating unmanned systems alongside conventional forces.
