The US Air Force has issued two new multimillion-dollar contracts to Skydio to expand the deployment of small drones within TACP and EOD units. The Skydio X10D will support Air Combat Command teams with surveillance, reconnaissance, and communications tasks, especially when working alongside ground forces. EOD teams will also use the drones for routine and deployed missions, with further deliveries planned over the next 18 months. The Air Force continues to broaden drone use for security, aircraft inspections, and maintenance modernization efforts.
