Ottawa and Kyiv have launched a collaborative defense manufacturing program that will see Ukrainian reconnaissance drones produced on Canadian soil for deployment in support of Ukrainian military operations. The partnership brings together Airlogix and Sentinel Research and Development in a joint venture focused on expanding ISR drone production and strengthening defense-industrial ties between the two countries. The project aligns with Canada’s wider efforts to advance drone innovation, counter-drone technologies, and electronic warfare capabilities while increasing sovereign production capacity. The agreement further demonstrates Canada’s continued investment in technologies shaped by lessons learned from modern battlefield operations in Ukraine.
