The One-Way Effector program reflects France’s push to restore mass and depth to long-range strike inventories. Developed by MBDA under an accelerated timeline, the UAV draws heavily on operational lessons from Ukraine, particularly the use of saturation tactics against air defenses. With a 500-kilometer-plus range and a substantial warhead, the system is designed to compel adversaries to activate defensive sensors, revealing their positions. Its scalable production model and cost-conscious design allow rapid expansion in wartime, reinforcing France’s ability to conduct sustained long-range operations in high-intensity conflicts.
