The ANKA III program appears poised to enter large-scale procurement, with Turkish Aerospace Industries indicating that the Turkish Air Force may order more than 50 aircraft in 2026. The completion of the critical design review and configuration freeze marks a key inflection point, enabling serial production planning and supplier commitments. Flight-test progress, including autonomous system validation, has shifted attention toward operational availability, sortie generation, and mission-system reliability. While additional prototypes are planned, the overlap between testing and production preparation aims to shorten the path to fielding. The move reflects Türkiye’s broader ambition to integrate stealthy UCAVs into its future force structure as enduring operational assets rather than experimental platforms.
