Cyprus has inducted two H-10 Poseidon unmanned aerial systems into National Guard service, marking a boost to indigenous defense capabilities alongside broader military modernization efforts. Developed by Cypriot firm Swarmly Aero, the drone is optimized for surveillance, reconnaissance, and fire coordination missions under challenging conditions. With low observability features and robust electronic protection measures, the H-10 is designed to operate in high-threat environments where jamming and spoofing are prevalent. The system’s combat experience in Ukraine has validated its performance, while exports highlight its maturity as a tactical ISR platform. The induction comes as Cyprus expands access to advanced defense equipment following a US policy shift, complementing recent acquisitions such as Airbus H145M helicopters and reinforcing regional security in the eastern Mediterranean.
