Russia announced that its forces had taken control of the villages of Rivnopillia and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region, marking further advances in southern Ukraine. While the eastern front remains the focal point of the conflict, Moscow said that its troops continue to push forward in the south as well. The battle for the eastern city of Pokrovsk has become particularly severe, with Russian units gradually entering the area and undermining Ukrainian defensive lines. Negotiations between Kyiv and Moscow are at a standstill, and a proposed meeting between Presidents Trump and Putin in Budapest did not proceed.
