Morocco is reportedly preparing to receive an unspecified number of Bayraktar Akinci drones from Turkey, with deliveries slated to begin in February 2025, according to local media sources. The acquisition builds on a previous 2021 contract valued at 626 million dirhams (around $70 million), under which the Moroccan Royal Armed Forces procured 13 Bayraktar TB2 drones, along with remote control ground stations and simulation systems. The latest move highlights Morocco’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its unmanned aerial systems fleet.
