AeroVironment has launched the P550, an unmanned eVTOL system tailored for the US Army’s long-range reconnaissance initiative. The drone’s modular design enables fast, tool-free field reconfiguration for tasks ranging from intelligence gathering to strike missions. As a Group 2 unmanned aircraft, it weighs between 21 and 55 pounds (10 to 25 kilograms) and can reach altitudes up to 3,500 feet (1,067 meters).
